We have highlighted a few events to give you a snippet of what has been happening.

No one can deny that Zambians love their beer! But the growing middle class is also developing a taste for cocktails. Mason Zambia hosted the first ever International Cocktail Festival. The day included nine experiential cocktail rooms, focusing on mixing, shaking, creating and drinking, master classes, and competitions such as the Zambia’s Next Top Cocktail award; the search for a cocktail that truly reflects, and celebrates the diversity and culture of Zambia. Most that visited the festival felt it’s about time that the city has a festival to showcase incredible talent to help inspire a diverse cocktail scene in Zambia.

On the other side of town, FNB and Tamasa Trading hosted a Whiskey festival event at the Radisson Blu Lusaka, featuring over thirty whiskies, four premier brands of Champagne, fine music and some of the most loved chocolates. It was the perfect intimate night out for discerning taste-makers. The festival was both informative as it was entertaining. Scottish, American and Irish brands remain the most well known, but whiskies of the world from as far as Japan will soon start to feature in future events. Whether one has been loyal to the whiskey spirit for years or is looking to expand their knowledge, the event promised a good time for whiskey connoisseurs and those looking for an introduction to the spirit.

To end the month with a bang, Jameson – one of the premium liquor brands in the world continued to shake up the Lusaka scene with its lavish events that seem to pull in the masses. The Irish whiskey joined in celebrating the Country’s rich arts portfolio at this year’s Jameson Connects that took place at Orange Tree public house. It included various talented musicians that took the stage as well as bespoke local designers showcasing post fashion week collections. The music stage came alive! Guests were entertained with back-to-back bangers by DJ Samba. This year’s headliners included Jay Rox and Wilz who had electric performances of their singles that had the audience singing along to every song. And once again, Jameson brought it and much more!
